Norwegian Salmon with Dill Sauce - Gravlax

Picture of Norwegian salmon with dill sauce

Description

This melt-in-the-mouth salmon dish is ideal if you’re cooking for a crowd and want to impress.

Salmon fillets are baked until flaky and then served with a creamy yogurt and dill sauce.

This is a recipe of delightful contradictions. It’s simple but elegant, and easy, but impressive.

Ingredients

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 220 °C. Lightly oil a roasting dish, or line a heavy baking sheet with foil.
  2. Then add the salmon and season with the tablespoon of lemon juice, pinch of sea salt, and freshly ground black pepper.
  3. Roast the Norwegian salmon in the oven until it’s cooked through in the middle.
  4. Meanwhile make the sauce by whisking together the yoghurt, 2 teaspoons of lemon juice, dill, and garlic.
  5. Drizzle over the salmon and garnish with the remaining dill sprigs to serve.
